Hi, I'm Elaine.
Designing tools, systems, and experiences that help people see what's possible (and build it!).
I'm drawn to the invisible structures that shape our everyday experiences: the systems, assumptions, and quiet design decisions that determine how we work and what we're able to create.
My career path has been anything but linear. I've deliberately moved through roles that taught me to see problems from different angles: my background in psychology taught me how people actually think and make decisions, working alongside engineering teams showed me the value of rigor and constraints, and facilitating creative sessions reminded me how to improvise. Each stop added a new lens.
What energizes me most is helping teams move from confusion to clarity. Sometimes that means designing a tool that simplifies an overwhelming decision. Sometimes it's building a design system that quietly raises the quality of work across an entire organization. Sometimes it's running a workshop that helps people think bigger than they thought they could.
I believe creativity is strategic. When it's used intentionally, it can shift cultures, surface opportunities that were hiding in plain sight, and reshape systems that have stopped working. That's what I'm after: products, conversations, and processes that help people see what's possible and give them what they need to build it.
